Consumer Duty

We welcome the introduction of the FCA’s Consumer Duty and see it as an ongoing effort to transform our business to deliver consistently good customer outcomes.

We have completed the initial phase of a detailed plan of work to ensure we are meeting the requirement of the Duty by the deadline, 31 July 2024. This includes fair value assessments of all products including those closed to new business.

This page contains details of our approach to meeting two of the required outcomes: the Products & Services Outcome and Price & Value Outcome.

We have adopted the Product Information template created via a joint industry working group with UK Finance, the Building Societies Association, the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries and the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association. The documents are being provided to you to fulfil our responsibilities under PRIN 2A.4.15R and PRIN 2A.3.12 R (2). They are designed to support you to comply with your responsibilities under PRIN 2A.3.16 R and PRIN 2A.4.16 R. These sheets are for broker use only and should not be provided to consumers.

Please note that you are ultimately responsible for meeting your obligations under the Consumer Duty rules.
