The launch of the podcast follows a webinar series from SFI that is now in its second season. SFI LIVE is a hugely successful free CPD webinar series discussing products coming to market, advancements of products, underwriting Q&As and much more. While SFI (not so) LIVE is an on-demand podcast that sees the same team, joined by a special guest each month, talking about the latest news that affects the mortgage, property, and development markets.
The topics for the first episode include a discussion regarding the roles of BDMs and how they may have to be more progressive and active post-pandemic, first-time buyer products and the plight of the self-employed trying to get a mortgage post-pandemic. The special guest for the first episode is industry heavyweight Walter Avrili.
Tony Hall, Head of Mortgage Sales at Saffron Building Society, comments: “We are so proud of the first season of the webinar series, which for the last year has remained popular with intermediaries. Whilst SFI Live focuses on products, criteria and even underwriting, the podcast series (SFI (not so) LIVE) discusses real news and issues faced by brokers and their clients. And we have a lot of fun with it too.”
The regular panel team includes Tony Hall, Head of Mortgage Sales & Holly Andrews, Intermediary Team Leader at Saffron Building Society. Episodes will feature special guests and industry experts with both SFI LIVE and SFI (not so) LIVE presented by independent host Jay Evans.
